His hand-made tesubin designs are unique in that they retain the traditional beauty associated with Japanese cast iron, yet are also able to make an elegant statement in contemporary homes. Mr. Masuda's work has been exhibited in some of the world's finest museums, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He is the recipient of many design awards and teaches at Tohoku University of Art & Design in Japan.
